Square Dancing and travelling just go together.  It's an excuse for a holiday.  It's an opportunity to meet other square dancers from around the world.  It's a chance to visit those new-found friends.  And the best thing about "square dance travel"?  You're travelling with people who have the same passion that you do, which means you're travelling with FRIENDS - even if you've never met before!

Here's the next organized event.  There are always other trips being planned, too, so keep your eye on this page!

Alaska Cruise - June 2009

Twenty square dancers (and two non-square dancers) had a great time in Alaska, cruising on Princess Cruiselines' Sapphire Princess, followed by a 3-day land tour that took us to Fairbanks, June 13-23, 2009.  On our last night, we joined the local Fairbanks Square Dance Club (Santa Swingers) and danced at the world's most northern square dance hall!  We joined local caller Jerrie Weatherford for an evening of "Fun & Friendship set to music"!!!

Pictures have been posted on my Facebook page - look for me at www.facebook.ca/wendy.vandermeulen.
