The cruise is history, but Oh what a time it was!  It was a great cruise - great ship (very easy to find your way around!), great food, great entertainment (most of the time), great service, friendly staff and crew, very neat and clean.  <Sigh>  Let's just say it was wonderful enough that we would have been very happy to have stayed on the ship for another 12 days!

This was the first time we did a cruise longer than 7 days, and we will never do only 7 days again.  This was so much more relaxing!  We were not bored, even though we did not do much of anything.  It was a real holiday - we spent most of it on the ship.  Some people like cruising for the opportunity to get off at different ports/islands/cities and see what there is to do there.  Not us.  We cruise because we love the actual cruise experience - relaxing on the ship, lounging around with a good book, finding a favourite corner where we can have a quiet pre-dinner drink, getting out on our balcony as soon as we get up in the morning to see what kind of day we're in for.  What a life!

But, here are some pictures of this cruise (more pictures can be seen on my Facebook page at www.facebook.ca/wendy.vandermeulen) on the Island Princess, January 15-26, 2008.  Enjoy it - we did!
